Goals/
objectives |
My decision to run comes from a belief that many within the MacKillop electorate, who support conservative
government, want a better choice on polling day. I am about offering the people of MacKillop a safe choice,
AND providing MacKillop with a strong, independent thinking voice. Unlike politicians from either the Labor
or Liberal parties, I will not be dictated to by a metropolitan based political party. As an independent
thinking, team player within The Nationals, I am able to truly represent the needs of MacKillop and its
constituents. For far too long MacKillop has floundered with "safe seat syndrome" and its time the people of
MacKillop acted to make the seat marginal. I will represent MacKillop as an independent thinking, National Party team member, focusing on my strong family & community values. I will be focusing on local issues and working with local communities to make a real difference to the people of MacKillop.
Slogan - "Make MacKillop Marginal - Make it Matter" - ..... Being a safe Liberal seat has meant that the Liberal Party have taken MacKillop for granted and the Labor Party don't pay it due attention because they will never win the seat. Its time MacKillop got its fair share of the pie. To do that voters need to break away from the safe seat shackles and vote National Party representatives into State Parliament - representatives who will always put their electorate and constituents first. I am committed to working with the Government of the day to bring about positive outcomes for the people of MacKillop instead of having to toe the party line to the detriment of the electorate. |
