SA Nationals Board of Management

At the Party AGM of 17 May 2008, the following management team was elected.

The District Teams

The Regional District Teams meet as necessary, with the primary goals and objectives being to research issues of importance and to assist in candidate identification, campaigning, fund raising, policy development and profile building. The teams undertake projects and campaign to build the Party’s membership and supporter base and to increase its profile and voter appeal. The teams support Members of the State and Federal Parliamentary National Parties and the endorsed candidates of The Party, during Parliamentary terms and election campaigns.

Other activities include: undertaking research on specific policy areas; submitting motions for consideration by the Annual State Conference; and undertaking any other activities that further enhance the social, networking and fund raising capacities of the Party.

Eastern Districts Team

The Eastern Regional District team meets regularly with the SA Nationals Leader, Karlene Maywald, and team members have the opportunity to give their feedback, direct to the leader, on issues of importance in the regions. Meetings are usually held on the second Thursday of every month, generally at the Cobdogla Club in the Riverland, but are to be moved around Barker as openings arise and new members come on board. The current Chair is the Federal Candidate for Barker, Deb. Thiele.

Western Districts Team

This Team is relatively new, having only been established in 2006, and meets on a more irregular basis. Members include the Federal Candidate for Grey, Wilbur Klein.
